  • About the Book

Hopeless Wars is the story about the struggles of Aliyah among Jews in the Soviet Union during the twentieth century. Yasha (Kedmi's) Kazkov's personal stories and challenges are fascinating.

Kedmi fought for the truth and succeeded in producing critical change – first as activist for Aliyah in his native Russia and then in Israel in his important role within the Nativ organization. Kedmi served in official and non-official positions, helping thousands take part in creating a Jewish country.

In his book, new details are exposed with regards to the decision making process within the government and among politicians like Vladimir Putin, Menachem Begin, Ehud Barak, Shimon Peres, Binyamin Netanyahu and others, as well as facts about the Secret Service, Iranian’s nuclear capabilities and the relationship between Israel and Russia.

This fascinating book will allow the readers to peek into the soul of the "free warrior" – a Jew who materialized his dream to make Aliyah to the Holy Land – and then return to his “battlefield” as head of a network the likes of which don’t exist anywhere in the world –fulfilling his missions with extraordinary expertise. It is impossible to read his work and remain unaffected.
