te l l your story. Rotman chose to begin his story with the night he cleared out his deceased mother’s possessions from her house; personal items, documents, photographs and memories. Rotman also drew the illustrations. This is a story about the generation born in innocence. He tries to describe that period as it was and how it had hoped to be – with its heroes: David Ben Gurion, Rachel Yanait Ben Zvi, Moshe Dayan, Johnny Weissmuller, Nathan Alterman, Elvis Pre sley, Yeshayahu Leibowitz, Rachel the Poetess, Ya’acov Hodorov, Arik Einstein, Elhanan the lifeguard, the pretzel vendor from Hasharon beach and many others.
