Mira is a regular girl living in a small town in Soviet Russia. Sure, she's Jewish, but that's not enough to make her different from others. She hangs out with her friends Nadia and Lydia, and she dreams of her secret crush, Viktor. She’s eleven now, almost twelve, and she’s ready for something exciting to happen in her life.
Then one day, she discovers an ancient ring by the river, setting in motion a series of events which turn her life upside-down and throw the entire town into a tumult. Is it all a dream, an illusion, sheer imagination? As she meets the mysterious Nicodema, she has to ask herself: Are these wonderful and strange experiences worth all the trouble? Or is it better to go back to being a regular girl with a regular life? The choice is in her hands.
