HEINZ GRUNWALD, also known as Chaim Geron, was born on November18th, 1918 as Heinz-Karl Hentel, in Berlin, Germany. Due to the circumstances of his birth, he was immediately thrust, defenseless, into a dangerous and
brutal reality. The young boy became a young Jewish man during a period of international upheaval. Throughout his life, Grunwald struggled with the mystery of his birth and the true identity of his mother.
